It’s been fantastic to celebrate 34 of our team members who have gone above and beyond this week with our Inspiring People’s Awards.

The final list recognised #bmFamily💜💚 members across the business from operations and chefs to marketing, sales and coffee specialists.

Inspiring People’s Awards

Everyone within BM is invited to nominate a colleague at any level for an award. Nominations are then shortlisted by the executive board and head of people and talent, with each winner receiving a signed certificate, as well as being publicly recognised through a series of celebratory posts on BM’s internal communications app.

Team members may not just be recognised for the work that they do, although this counts towards their nomination, but because they inspire others in the way they live, work and interact with people – both at work and outside of work. This may include charity work, pursuing development and education opportunities, recognition from clients and customers, or powering through difficult circumstances.

Equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging

Murray Soper, BM’s team and talent manager, said: “Equality, diversity, inclusion and belonging are key to our people focus. In recognition that there are people who do not identify with the gender binary, we felt the time was right to move away from separately celebrating ‘Inspiring Men’ and ‘Inspiring Women’. We have many people in our workplace who inspire those around them, and we wanted to celebrate them and recognise the part they play in making BM a great place to be.”
