2 chefs working behind the pass

Starting as a Back of House Assistant, Commis Chef or Kitchen Assistant, you’ll build a strong foundation, and as you progress through specialised training and leadership roles, you’ll hone your cooking skills and take on more responsibility. This pathway is designed for anyone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and aspires to build a career in professional kitchens.

A Commis Chef or Production Chef apprenticeship follows your induction, and your training takes many forms – including workshops, masterclasses and field trips, as well as hands-on experience in a range of BM locations. You’ll get advice from our Michelin-starred chefs, and one of our development chefs will help you create your own personal and professional development plan. Most importantly, as your skills increase, you’ll have many opportunities to perfect them as part of a supportive team.
