Women Who Inspire awards

Women Who Inspire

We are delighted to announce the winners of our ‘Women Who Inspire’ awards.

Now in its third year, the awards were launched in recognition of the 100th anniversary of women being given the right to vote and, this year, a fresh cohort of 10 bartlett mitchell women were identified as worthy recipients.

The awards aim to recognise women who have excelled professionally, inspired others to succeed or succeeded themselves despite any personal challenges they may be facing.

The annual ‘Women Who Inspire’ awards are open to women across the business. Staff were invited to nominate colleagues who they feel should be honoured for their ability to inspire and engage others.

Announced on International Womens’ Day and developed as part of a drive to recognise the role women play in hospitality, the programme aims to encourage more to consider it as a career of choice and one where progression is supported.

Wendy Bartlett, co-founder and executive chairman of bartlett mitchell, said: “There are so many incredible and inspiring women working at all levels of our business and it’s so important to me that they know they are appreciated”.

“At the same time, we want women to know that a progressive and fulfilling career path lies ahead within bartlett mitchell; that the opportunities are there for anyone with the right attitude, skills and enthusiasm”.

“I’m delighted to see the Women Who Inspire awards go from strength to strength and I’d like to congratulate every one of our worthy winners.”

Ian Thomas, chief executive of bartlett mitchell, added: “Gender should never be a barrier to career progression. This is a fundamental value upon which our company was built”.

“The many talented women who inspire us to be better at what we do every day are truly remarkable and we want to recognise all of them.”
