Fix8 Kombucha & Water Kefir is a London-based drinks brand on a mission to change how we think about soft drinks, making functional, fermented options accessible, delicious, and part of everyday life.

From personal discovery to purpose-driven brand

Fix8 didn’t start with a business plan. It started with a moment of discovery.

Founder Freya Twigden grew up hooked on Diet Coke, but everything changed during a university trip to Shanghai. There, she discovered Traditional Chinese Medicine and the role of gut health in overall wellbeing, alongside her first taste of kombucha.

The impact was immediate. Improved digestion, better energy, and a shift in how she thought about what she consumed.

Back in the UK, kombucha was hard to find, so she started brewing it herself.

By 2018, Fix8 was born.

Soft drinks are one of the biggest opportunities for change in foodservice.

With a significant proportion of sugar consumption coming from drinks, and increasing awareness around immunity and gut health, customers are actively seeking better alternatives.

What’s next: The rise of water kefir

One of the most exciting developments from Fix8 is their Water Kefir range, a lighter, fruit-forward, sparkling drink filled with live cultures.

It is accessible, refreshing, and designed to fit seamlessly into everyday choices, whether as a lunchtime refreshment or a low-alcohol alternative.

For operators, it opens up new ways to elevate the drinks offer, from grab-and-go to more experiential moments like mocktails and on-site activations.
