Reflecting on a year of ESG roundtables

Over the past year, our quarterly ESG roundtables have become a powerful space for conversation, connection and reflection. Bringing together clients, partners, suppliers and our own teams, each roundtable has created the opportunity to explore what ESG commitments really mean in practice, and how food can drive positive change across people, planet and communities.
Sustainable diets and the future of food
We began the year with an ESG roundtable. Designed to spark dialogue around sustainable diets and the future of food habits. The discussion explored how evolving consumer expectations, climate pressures and innovation are reshaping the way we think about nourishment.
From regenerative agriculture and biodiversity to menu design and behaviour change. The session highlighted that sustainability is not defined by a single solution, but by a holistic mindset. The takeaway was clear: thoughtful food choices today can help shape a healthier, more resilient future for both people and planet.
Responsible sourcing and transparent supply chains
Building on this foundation, our second ESG roundtable turned its focus to responsible sourcing. This event invited guests to think more deeply about where food comes from. And the impact hidden within modern supply chains.
Through a carefully curated menu. Conversations unfolded around seasonality, ethical labour practices, regenerative farming and the realities of sourcing ingredients such as chocolate and meat. The discussion reinforced the importance of transparency and traceability, while celebrating the role caterers can play in supporting producers who are doing things the right way.
It was a reminder that responsible sourcing isn’t about compromise; it’s about making informed choices that balance quality, ethics and flavour.
Inclusion, neurodiversity and the social pillar of ESG
Our third ESG roundtable shifted the spotlight to the social pillar of sustainability. With a focus on neurodiversity in the workplace. This session created space for honest and meaningful conversations around inclusion, representation and workplace culture.
Hearing from neurodivergent voices and advocates helped deepen understanding of the barriers many individuals face. As well as the enormous value they bring to organisations when supported properly.
The good source: local, regenerative and purpose-led food
We closed the year in Manchester with The Good Source, an event rooted in place, provenance and purpose. This final roundtable explored how sourcing decisions can support local economies, regenerative farming and responsible supply chains.
Conversations flowed around seasonality, traceability and the influence businesses have through their purchasing power. Once again, food played a central role, telling the stories of growers, producers and communities, and reminding us that every ingredient carries an impact beyond the plate.
Looking ahead: ESG as a journey, not a destination
Taken together, our ESG roundtables have reinforced a shared belief: sustainability is not an endpoint, but a work in progress. These gatherings have given us the opportunity to listen, learn, challenge ourselves and move forward together with curiosity, integrity and intent.
As we look ahead, we remain committed to creating spaces where meaningful dialogue leads to tangible action, guided by our belief that better food can help build a better future.
