Wines to celebrate the start of Spring

Spring wines

April marks a welcome shift in the seasons. The days grow longer, the first real warmth returns, and dining naturally moves outdoors once again. Gardens, terraces and balconies come back to life, and menus begin to favour lighter, fresher flavours.

It’s also the time when Easter classics take centre stage — roast lamb, seasonal vegetables, vibrant salads, hot cross buns and, of course, something sweet to finish.
With spring entertaining in mind, we’ve selected a range of excellent wines currently available across UK supermarkets. From celebratory sparkling wines to crisp whites, elegant rosés and food-friendly reds, these bottles are ideal whether you’re hosting Easter lunch, planning a relaxed barbecue or simply enjoying a glass in the sunshine.
