Ingredients

  • 500g - sirloin steak, cut into strips
  • 50g - fresh ginger, minced
  • 50g - soy sauce (low salt)
  • 38g - fresh garlic, minced
  • 50g - sesame seeds
  • 50g - sesame oil
  • 380g - broccoli florets, cut small
  • 250g - green beans, trimmed and cut in half
  • 500g - peas
  • 500g pickled kale
  • 500g - courgettes cut into batons
  • 500g - bean sprouts
  • 10g - green sliced chilli
  • 50g - sesame oil
  • 50g - chopped coriander

Full of great flavours and packed full of vegetables, this dish of ginger beef and green veg stir fry is bound to a family favourite

Method

  1. Add the soy, ginger, and garlic to the beef and allow it marinate for a few hours, at least 2 hours
  2. Heat a wok or large pan, with a good surface area, until stinking hot and add the beef along with the sesame oil. Cook fast until a good colour is achieved but not cooked all the way through, stir in the sesame seeds and remove the beef from the pan to stop the cooking process.
  3. Cook the vegetables in the same pan as the beef (in batches if needed) and then mix with the cooked beef, chopped coriander and drizzle with the remaining sesame oil.
