Honey Butter Toast

Honey Butter Toast

A rich, golden toast treat made with soft brioche, perfect for breakfast or an indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Method

  1. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, honey, and sugar together until smooth and creamy. Stir on a low heat until melted and combined.

  2. Preheat a large non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Alternatively, use a sandwich press or grill pan.

  3. Dip the brioche bread slices into the honey butter mixture, coating both sides. Place on a cooling tray over another tray to catch any drips. Use any excess mixture to coat the slices again. Sprinkle with sea salt if desired.

  4. Place the coated brioche slices into a preheated oven at 170°C for 4–5 minutes. Flip and cook for another 4–5 minutes, until golden on both sides.

  5. Remove from the oven and cool on a rack. Serve cool to allow the sugar to harden. Enjoy as-is or with fresh berries, cream, or a dusting of icing sugar.
