Ingredients
- 225g plain flour, plus 10g for dusting
- 75g caster sugar
- 1 vanilla pod
- 150g unsalted butter at room temperature
- 50g granulated sugar for dusting
Super easy and perfect with a cup of tea, this recipe for Shortbread is a must have for any Jubilee celebration.
Method
- Place all the ingredients into a mixing machine with the paddle attachment, apart from the granulated sugar.
- Slowly mix until combined into a dough.
- Wrap in cling film and place into a fridge for 30 minutes.
- Lightly dust a table with plain flour and roll in to a 22cm square then cut into the shape that you want.
- Place onto a tray with parchment paper and bake at 160ΒΊC for 20 minutes.
- Remove from the oven and dust with granulated sugar.
- Leave to cool for at least 15 minutes, this will allow the shortbread to set.
