Ingredients

  • 2 thick slices of bread
  • Chilli Jam
  • Red Onion Chutney
  • Butter
  • Grated Cheddar

Method

  • Butter the bread on both sides then spread the jam & chutney evenly on one side of the bread
  • Grate the cheese over the spreads
  • Place the other slice of bread on top to make a sandwich
  • Put a heavy-based frying pan on a medium heat
  • Place some parchment paper in the frying pan, then add the grated cheddar cheese onto the paper, once the cheese has started to melt place the sandwich onto the melted cheese, once it’s well coloured on one side flip the sandwich over and place the sandwich, still in the pan, into the oven for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the pan and sandwich from the oven and leave to cool a little before serving.
