What we do

Integrated hospitality: seamless reception and catering

Bowl food for hospitality reception and events

Our contract with a leading shipping insurance firm involves a variety of catering services for directors, staff and clients at their head office in the City of London. With on-site kitchen facilities, the catering and reception team of 12, led by a General Manager, provide a prestigious hospitality and hosting service for 400 employees. We provide a wide range of catering services to our client, as well as hosting their reception and another three companies in the building.

Flexibility, versatility and innovation were the main reasons we won the contract. The firm’s leaders need to know we can meet the highest culinary standards for client entertaining – whether it’s a working breakfast, lunch meeting or evening event. And it’s equally important to maintain the same quality and reliability when providing sandwiches and pastries to keep the team going day to day. Coffee and tea are also vital, and we ensure the best blends and roasts (including our Perkee Santo organic coffee and Birchall Tea) are readily available in the café.

Fresh food, fresh ideas

Among the events we organise for our client are regular themed ‘pop-ups’, usually catering for around 120 people. We’re appealing to a discerning audience of insurance experts and their clients – which include high-net-worth individuals, and representatives from pension funds, institutions and trusts – so superb quality is essential. Also, these experienced diners enjoy trying new trends, so we frequently suggest different ideas for events, including bespoke menus.

We work hard to keep customers engaged, entertained and informed at these events. Recent examples include: a coffee tasting, giving attendees the opportunity to learn which is their favourite roast; a CSER roadshow, encouraging waste reduction through our Eat with the Earth in Mind concept; and a Vitality healthy-eating pop-up. We carry out frequent customer surveys, and run ‘You said… We did’ campaigns in the public spaces, highlighting changes we’ve made to the service.

A strong first impression

As part of the close working relationship we’ve built with our client, we also provide a reception service. So, as well as creating that crucial first impression and warm welcome for visitors, we can also coordinate their arrival smoothly with the hospitality they receive. With one team handling everything, we can ensure the guest experience is seamless, from the meet-and-greet to dining with their hosts.

“I just want to say a massive thank you! Everything you do is perfect, and I really appreciate all the team's hard work.”
