Ingredients

  • 450g Strong flour
  • 3g Nigella seed
  • 3g Dried Crispy Onion
  • 3g Salt
  • 4g Dried Yeast
  • 25g Butter
  • 3g Honey
  • 1tbs Chopped chives
  • 420g water
  • Extra butter for the laminate

The perfect accompaniment to so many dishes! This paratha is cheap and easy to make.

Method

  1. Add all ingredients into a bowl and mix into a shaggy dough
  2. Line a mixing bowl with oil and place the dough into the oiled bowl
  3. Cover with clingfilm and refrigerate overnight
  4. Split the cold dough into 4
  5. Oil your surface and roll each paratha into 6inch wide disks
  6. Layer 1tbs butter onto the dough
  7. Cut from the centre out to the side of the dough and roll it over itself in triangle shapes. Fold the last piece of dough into itself to form a ball shape
  8. Flour your countertop and roll each paratha out into 6 inch wide disks again
  9. Lightly oil a nonstick pan and put on medium heat
  10. Cook each paratha for a couple of minutes on each side till golden brown
