Birchall is a British Tea company with a rich heritage where the family has been involved in the tea industry for 5 generations dating back to 1872, when Birchall Graham first planted tea in Darjeeling.
Currently East African black tea specialists, they have a passion for creating superior tea blends and their unrivalled taste difference is the culmination of an uncompromising approach to tea selection which ensures that only the very best tea leaves are used in our signature black tea blends. Every week in Mombasa Kenya, their tea tasting experts will taste as many as 5000 teas across their tasting rooms to identify the very best available for their black teas and, of these, usually only 5 teas tasted will be deemed good enough for their blends.
Since 2011, Birchall has won 86 Great Taste Awards and their Great Rift Breakfast Blend has won honours for 12 years in-a-row, more than any other breakfast tea in the world.

Birchall believes a cup of tea should not only taste good, but be good for the planet too. That’s why in addition to having Fairtrade and Rainforest Alliance certified teas, their new Birchall Tea Factory is solar powered, their tea is Carbon Neutral and they have worked extremely hard to make sure all their products are plastic free or made from plant based materials where possible.
