My earliest food memory is being at my grandparents’ house eating their famous Sunday roast dinner with all the trimmings. The ultimate was their roast beef, crispy roast potatoes and a big Yorkshire pudding – it was a meal in itself. This was a dinner not to be missed and I always left their house feeling very full.

I find the vegan and vegetarian movement the most interesting trend in London at the moment. Vegan and vegetarian restaurants have evolved and reached new heights over recent years. They are the menus to watch out for and definitely never boring. I have a lovely vegetarian friend who has introduced me to Club Mexicana, Vanilla Black, The Gate in Islington and Young Vegans in Camden. A little further afield I recommend Terre A Terre in Brighton.

Black Lock City based by Monument is my favourite place to eat and I visit often. They are famous for great friendly service, delicious chops and brilliant wines to match. I share my love of Black Lock City with my colleague Angus Brydon and we have eaten together there about twenty times. As Blacklock only sells chops I definitely won’t be taking my vegetarian friend.

I love Chinese food and my most memorable meal was eating Peking Duck in Beijing whilst on holiday in China. It really was an unforgettable experience.

I’ve always wanted to meet the comedienne Tiffany Haddish, I find her hilarious. Tiffany lives life smiling and she has incredible energy. She says she also loves making other people laugh. This makes Tiffany my ideal dinner guest as she would keep me and my best friends brilliantly entertained.

At the moment my cookbook inspiration is Joe Wicks, The Body Coach, Lean in 15. Joe creates simple and quick yet interesting meals that are healthy and taste great. My current favourite recipe from Joe is Chicken Tagine with spiced Brussel sprouts and feta. The dish balances earthy, sweet and spicy flavours with tender chicken.

The three items I will always keep in my fridge are a bottle of champagne (my favourite is Bollinger), chicken and salad leaves.
